CCDC's mission is to offer design students a professional cultural experience working overseas on product development with artisan communities in developing countries to design products that can compete in a global market.

We believe that crafts based industries play a pivotal role in the success of developing economies.  By linking artisan communities in developing countries to established design students who carry with them a greater knowledge of design trends and consumer applications, these artisan communities can gain the tools to be competitive in a global economy, thus lifting themselves and their communities out of poverty.
